Ho Chi Minh City is where I was born and raised. Currently, I work at the company’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City.

What motivated you to join the company?

I have always aspired to work in an international environment within the design and architecture field, where I can apply my knowledge and skills. I have long been interested in Japanese design standards, the precision in drawings, and the strong sense of responsibility in the workplace. I wanted to grow professionally in such a specialized environment.

Moreover, while working with Japanese companies, I realized that beyond technical skills, I could learn a lot about work attitudes and the importance of teamwork. That’s why I decided to join this company.

Your current role

Currently, I serve as a team manager. My daily tasks include managing drawing quality, adjusting work schedules, communicating with our Japanese counterparts, and guiding team members — a role that requires oversight across many aspects.

My goal is to continue improving both my management skills and technical expertise, to become a leader who can help elevate the entire team’s capabilities. I also wish to contribute to the company’s development by being a reliable representative, working effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and ways of thinking.

In the future, I will continue embracing challenges, proactively learning and innovating, so that together with the team, we can move toward a better future.

I come from Lam Dong Province, which is about 200 km away from my workplace in Ho Chi Minh City.

From New Opportunity to a Journey of Growth with the Company.

My opportunity came when a friend in the recruitment industry told me, “A CAD company specializing in Japanese wooden houses is about to open a branch in Vietnam. Would you like to give it a try?” I thought long and hard because a newly established company inevitably faces many challenges and risks. But I realized, “Risk comes with opportunity,” so I decided to apply.

Having no knowledge of Japanese, I was truly nervous and scared when I faced five Japanese interviewers. I had to keep repeating to myself, “Stay calm, stay calm, stay calm.” Fortunately, relying on the specialized knowledge I had accumulated about Japanese wooden houses, I passed the interview and was hired.

Starting as a CAD drafter, I always strived to learn and improve my skills—not only to better myself but also to support my colleagues. This included CAD expertise, schedule management, and task allocation within the team.

When the company officially established its own legal entity in Vietnam, I was entrusted with the managerial role, acting as a bridge between Vietnam and Japan. I was also responsible for personnel management, operations, and handling internal matters.

From those early days of inexperience and uncertainty, I have continuously explored and learned to overcome challenges. Today, I confidently manage the company, lead the team, negotiate with clients, and handle issues related to personnel, legal matters, and taxes—all while continuing to develop my CAD skills to better support the teams.

I believe that as long as we are not afraid of difficulties and keep moving forward, everyone can discover hidden potential within themselves that they never imagined before.

I was born, raised, and educated in Hue, my hometown. Currently, I work at the company’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, a city of opportunities and growth.

From “Just Trying” to a 5-Year Journey with CAD and the Company

I am a native of Hue. After graduating from university with a major in Japanese Language, I decided to move to Ho Chi Minh City to seek new opportunities. At that time, I was full of hopes but also uncertain about what job truly suited me.

One evening, I happened to see the company’s recruitment post on Facebook and applied—simply wanting to “give it a try.” However, the interview changed my perspective. The sincerity and thoroughness in the communication, especially the work related to Japanese residential architecture, truly attracted me. Although I had no experience in drafting or architecture, I eagerly hoped to be given a chance to start.

Fortunately, the company welcomed people without experience but with a strong learning spirit. After two rounds of interviews, I was hired. Of course, I was worried: “Can I really do this?”

The early days were definitely not easy. It was my first time looking at house designs. But thanks to the dedicated guidance from my senior colleagues and my own efforts to learn, I gradually became familiar with the work and started to enjoy it without realizing it.

Currently, I am responsible for using CAD software to redraw detailed house designs, which are used by engineers for verification when applying for building permits in Japan.

I have always liked computers and drawing, so when I started working with CAD, I found the job very interesting. The more I worked, the more I understood the techniques and the meaning behind each detail—making the work truly rewarding and valuable.

Up to now, I have been with the company for 5 years. It has been a journey not only of learning and growth but also one of gratitude. I hope to continue improving my skills in the future, participate in advanced CAD courses, and contribute even more to the company—the place that gave me the opportunity to start and develop.

I currently work at the company’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, which is also the city where I was born, raised, and educated throughout my development.

I started working at the company in 2023, so it’s been nearly two years now. The reason I chose this job is because of my passion for design software and my desire to learn more about architecture and construction.

At first, I faced some difficulties because my background is not in architecture—I studied languages. However, because I love the nature of the work, every day at work is an opportunity to learn something new.

The working environment here is very friendly and close-knit. Everyone has rich professional knowledge and is always willing to share and help each other. Through working with my senior colleagues (senpai), I have learned a lot—from how to work with Japanese partners to how to handle tasks carefully and efficiently.

I am especially impressed by everyone’s dedication to each product. The meticulousness and thoughtfulness in every decision and discussion to arrive at the best solution have greatly inspired me. Thanks to that, I better understand my responsibilities in every drawing and constantly remind myself to strive for continuous improvement.

In the coming time, I will continue to work hard to learn and develop so that I can contribute more to the team and the company.

I am fortunate to have found a job I love right here in my hometown, Ho Chi Minh City.

How I Joined the Company

I majored in Japanese Interpretation and Translation, and before graduating, I searched for Japanese-related jobs on a reputable recruitment site. However, perhaps because I had no prior work experience, I faced many rejections in interviews.

After numerous attempts, I gradually gained experience and became more confident. Finally, my efforts paid off—I got the opportunity to do the job I had dreamed of since my university days.

My Current Job

Currently, I am responsible for editing detailed house drawings daily using CAD software. The drawings produced by our company are important documents used for contractor quotations, discussions with clients, and on-site verification.

When I first saw these design drawings, I was a bit intimidated but also very curious. Thanks to the dedicated guidance from my senior colleagues and feedback from the Japanese side, I learned, took notes, and researched to improve my skills little by little.

Having loved computers since I was a child, I find working with CAD to create detailed drawings extremely interesting and “cool.” The more I work, the deeper I discover the architecture field and realize the great significance of this job.
